The Hoeger House is a two-phase project designed for short-term rehabilitation as an alternative to receiving rehabilitation in a hospital or nursing home. A residential feel was incorporated throughout the design to begin the separation of the residents from the institutional environment. A communal kitchen, along with private bedrooms and bathrooms assists the patients and therapists in practicing the everyday motions needed to live independently. The Hoeger House is part of an expansion of a growing healthcare and retirement community.

The second phase was completed in 2011. The addition brings the number of private rooms from 17 to 34. It also offers a larger centralized kitchen and improved laundry capabilities. The expansion has allowed the facility to add new services that enhance the short-term rehabilitation experience.
