The Elizabeth Hall Tower is a seven-story patient tower addition to the Children’s Mercy Hospital in downtown Kansas City designed by HMN Architects. This tower connects to both pre-existing patient towers on the campus’s east side. Hall tower contains spaces for radiology, clinical pharmacology, a pediatric intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, a hematology-oncology unit, medical-surgical patient beds, cafeteria expansion and a perinatal unit.

The perinatal unit was a new service to be offered on the Children’s Mercy campus. This unit allows mothers with high-risk pregnancies to deliver in a location where their infant can immediately receive the high level of care required. This unit, located on the third floor of Hall Tower, is connected directly to Truman Medical Center on the opposite side of Holmes Road, by an enclosed patient bridge.
