HMN Architects provided full architectural, interior design, and planning services for the new classroom wing addition at Summit Christian Academy.

The new, 11,600 SF addition includes ten classrooms, student restrooms, offices, and a student store. Renovations to the existing art room were included in the project scope to provide a large display case that can be viewed from the new classroom wing corridor. Also, a 60-car parking lot was added to accommodate the growth of enrollment numbers.

The building exterior was designed using the same brick, block, and glazing materials as the existing school building to nicely integrate into the campus aesthetic. The interior materials are also similar to the current school and blend seamlessly into the rest of the building. Natural daylight into the new classrooms and corridors, and the use of materials designed to control sound, add to this new learning environment.
