Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City provides vital support for families facing childhood illness, and the new Wylie House—designed by HMN Architects in partnership with the organization—expands their lodging options in the Hospital Hill area.

Designed to feel warm and uplifting, the home features natural stone, a wrap-around porch, and a striking four-story wood staircase wrapped around a donor art installation. Inside, families benefit from a large volunteer-supported kitchen, a welcoming hearth room, a quiet library, and engaging play and media spaces for children.

The upper floors offer 20 private bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, built-in storage, and window seat, along with serene common areas and a trellised back porch—creating a comforting, restorative environment for families during their most challenging moments.
