Sarah Cannon Cancer Center of Excellence

Located on the Overland Park Regional Medical Center campus, this project transformed three first-floor suites in the Quivira Medical Plaza into a calming, patient-centered cancer treatment environment. The design prioritizes stress reduction through abundant natural light and views of nature, creating a tranquil setting that supports healing.

The design concept balances privacy with connection, by organizing patient treatment into two modes: infusion recliners in group arrangements for a more shared experience, or private rooms for an individual treatment experience.

The cancer center includes six exam rooms, 13 infusion chairs, one private infusion room, a medical oncology clinic, a procedure suite for minor cancer surgeries, patient education space, physician offices, and comprehensive patient and staff support areas.
