HMN Architects delivered a full scope of architectural, interior design, and planning services for the new three-story Justice Center; a modern facility designed for efficiency, safety, and long-term growth. Constructed of precast concrete and masonry with a steel structural frame, the complex includes a 264-bed jail and a 9,900-square-foot Law Enforcement Center that brings dispatch, the Sheriff’s Office, and key administrative functions under one roof.
The Justice Center also houses two jury courtrooms, two non-jury courtrooms, judges’ chambers, and dedicated offices for the County Clerk, prosecuting attorney, and juvenile services. The jail features 132 double-bunked medium/maximum cells supported by 14 dayrooms sized to enhance flexibility in inmate classification.
By incorporating precast cells and wall panels, the project significantly reduced construction time; delivering measurable savings to the county while ensuring high-quality, durable construction.
