This Interventional Imaging Services project expands the Kansas Cardiovascular Center as part of the hospital’s $100 million multi-year growth plan. The centerpiece is a state-of-the-art Hybrid Electrophysiology Lab, designed to allow seamless transitions between minimally invasive and more complex procedures without relocating the patient. Renovations also improved the entry sequence, reception and waiting areas, and surgery staff spaces.
Supporting spaces include a control room, TEE cardiac ultrasound, holter and stress rooms, a reading room, and staff locker facilities. During construction, the project scope was expanded to include the renovation of the recovery area. Executed in four carefully coordinated phases, the project required close collaboration among the client, design team, contractor, and equipment vendors to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations throughout construction.
