The Olathe Health Education Building, a LEED Gold facility, is the result of a strategic partnership between Johnson County Community College and Olathe Health. Located on the Olathe Health campus, the building houses the college’s health occupation programs while providing direct access to a regional hospital, serving as an educational facility for Olathe Health staff.

The facility features 21 classrooms and a 29-bed practical nursing simulation area, (which houses a 16-bed skills lab). Programs offered include: practical nursing, certified nurse assistant, certified medication aide, rehabilitation aide, home health aide, IV therapy for LPNs, dietary manager, medical office, medical billing and coding, medical transcription, phlebotomy, EKG technician, and medical laboratory technician.

Sustainable strategies were implemented to maximize LEED credits while maintaining cost efficiency, reflecting HMN’s practical approach to sustainable design.
