Terri Doty, is the Chief Financial Officer and Principal of HMN Architects. She joined HMN’s team in 1989, was promoted to Shareholder in 2004, and was unanimously voted in as a Principal in 2008. She also serves on HMN’s Board as Secretary and Treasurer and holds the position of Director of Human Resources.

A self-starter, Terri has created and built a strong, efficient and reliable accounting department at HMN. Terri has faced many challenges during her tenure at HMN, whether it be the economy or the ever-evolving financial world and all its added regulations however she has always been able to adapt her role as needed and continues to work hard handling all financial, legal and human resource aspects of the corporation. Terri handles all day to day accounting duties, oversees her staff, maintains projections and budgets, handles all financial aspects of the firm and coordinates all tax reporting. Throughout her years at HMN, Terri has kept up to date with technology by continuously migrating and maintaining the latest accounting software in the AEC industry. In addition, she keeps the corporation current with filing all paperwork with the numerous Secretary of State and Architectural licensing boards, handles all insurance and renewals for the firm, all benefit and paperwork for the employees and works hard to complete whatever additional tasks or challenges that present itself in order to keep HMN successful.

Terri works closely with HMN’s other Principals/Officers and understands the importance of her role includes her ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, have strong problem-solving skills, pay attention to detail and accuracy and most of all maintain confidentiality.
