Kansas City OBGYN: Expansion Project {Phase II}
Kansas City OBGYN
In 2013, five physicians formed Kansas City ObGyn located in the Medical Plaza West Building on the Overland Park Regional Medical Center campus. The new 4,628 square foot clinic was designed to meet the needs of expectant mothers and their families while allowing the physicians to provide more individualized care.
Upon arrival, patients are greeted with a modern and signature waiting room that reinforces the clinic’s branding identity. The exam and staff support areas were designed to foster a calm and tranquil atmosphere that provides a safe and comfortable environment for the patients. Specific design features include universal design of the exam rooms with an adaptable work environment, accent floor patterning at the exam tables and laboratory casework finishes to prevent staining caused by accidental spills during procedures, and systems furnishings for nurse stations that are adaptable as needs evolve.
The clinic was planned to accommodate future expansion, as the practice would grow over time. After only two years of opening, KC ObGyn welcomed a new provider and partnered with HMN once again to add 4 exam rooms, a procedure room and staff support areas. The 2,127 square foot expansion project was completed in May 2016.
